SERIES 5000 31" DEEP VERTICAL FILES

 

 No other form of vital paper record protection is as fail-safe, dependable or convenient as that provided by Schwab's Series 5000 line of fire files. Available in two-, three- and four-drawer models in both letter and legal sizes, the Series 5000 comes with follower blocks and frames for hanging folders. File interiors can be customized to fit any number of special filing applications and have flexible options such as the drawer-in-a-drawer for check filing or index cards.

Each Schwab Series 5000 vertical file is 31" deep with 26" of front-to-back filing space and comes with a UL Class 350-1 Hr. rating. Those rated as fire resistant assure protection from temperatures reaching 1700º F for one hour - far greater than the normal business fire. Those rated as fire and impact resistant add the extra assurance that if the file falls through a floor, up to 30 feet, or is hit by falling beams or debris, the drawers will not jar open.

 

SERIES 5000 43" AND 36" WIDE LATERAL FILES   
Series 5000 Lateral Files offer choices of two-, three- and four-drawer models in both 36" and 43" widths, and a UL 350 - 1 Hr. rating of either fire resistance or fire and impact resistance. So no matter what your filing needs or where you plan to use it, the Series 5000 Lateral File is sure to work for you.

Standard accessories allow front to back filing of legal- or letter-size hanging folders or side-to-side filing of legal-size hanging folders. Other accessories are available to meet alternative storage needs.

Information


1. The seamless construction is more contemporary and stylish than the old cap and sleeve technique.

2. Insuliteä, the most effective insulation in the industry, provides maximum protection with thinner walls and less weight than competitors' insulation.

3. Painted in a dust-free environment, the durable finish is available in a variety of attractive colors.

4. Recessed handles have label holders that can be easily seen without kneeling, even on lower drawers.

5. Standard plunger key lock secures all drawers. Other locking options, including a Medeco security key lock, are available.

6. Schwab's drawers roll smoothly and freely on a rugged suspension system even when fully loaded.

7. Every file drawer is completely insulated, making each one independently fire resistant. If a drawer is accidentally left open and fire strikes, this feature will halt the spread of fire throughout the entire file.

8. An inner-steel drawer jacket prevents entry into a locked drawer from an unlocked compartment. It
also keeps all insulation out of your files.

9. All Class 350, legal-sized drawers  are slotted for movable hanging frames to provide the convenient flexibility of using either legal-, A-4-, folio- or letter-sized hanging file folders.

10. Insulated, interlocking drawer labyrinths provide a tight seal for the drawers in the event of a fire.

11. Every Schwab file is U.L. Classified as either Fire Resistant or Fire and Impact Resistant. All files also carry an additional 11/2-hour manufacturer's certification.
